This home on Lake Oconee began it’s life as a barn in Indiana. The client had it disassembled and shipped to our shop for repairs and alterations. We moved some of the main timbers to accommodate the necessities of a modern home. One example is the scarf joint we added for a post repair. The mix of hand hewn hardwood timbers gives it a beautiful color and texture. We raised the timber frame on its new foundation and then the client had SIP panels installed.
