This 18x18 pool house is framed with 8"x8" White Pine, with 8"x12" tie beams. The downward sloping struts, while not as strong as a typical king post truss, creates a nice visual effect not often seen in timber frames. It is finished with an all-natural oil blend with pigmentation added.While not a completely opaque finish, this is a good alternative to paint as it lets the timber breathe, helping to guard against rot.
